JKUAT Kigali Campus made an impressive performance at the 2015 Edition of the Rwanda International Trade EXPO 2015 which opened July 29 at Gikondo grounds, City of Kigali.
Backed by their JKUAT Main Campus counterparts in Kenya who are a regular feature during the Agricultural Show of Kenya Trade Fairs and Exhibitions, Kigali Campus was one of the exhibitors who put up a sterling performance at the 2015 Edition of the Rwanda International Trade Expo that drew exhibitors from across the world.
The JKUAT Kigali Campus team led by the Director, Dr. Anthony Luvanda and his Deputy, Dr. Joseph Oduor, was making its 3rd appearance at the annual event that saw the exhibition team of Mutesi Christine, John d’Amour, Nadine Nshimirimana, Uwera, Eugene, Betty, Joyce and their Main Campus counterpart Patrick Kaberia, exhibited two innovation projects: “Sacconet Smart Union, a digital application that eases the management of sub-Sacco membership operations, and the “M-Agricare,” an information system that provides real-time information to farmers and other stakeholders.
The Kigali Campus stand was the centre of attraction for thousands of show goers who interacted with JKUAT staff and students who shared their experiences of being JKUAT students and the competitiveness of the academic programs on offer as well as the cutting edge innovation projects that define JKUAT leadership through training, research and innovation.
The Expo that was officially opened by the Rwandan Prime Minister Dr.Anastasie Murekezi and Industrialization Minister, Francis Kanimba, ends on August 12.
