Freshmen Stream to Campus

Close to 2, 000 new students reported to campus, Monday May 7, 2012 to commence various undergraduate degree, diploma and certificate programmes  on offer during the Academic Year. The School of Human Resource Development has attracted 679 students followed by the Faculty of Science and the Institute of Tropical Medicine and Infectious Diseases that are expected to host 399 and 347 students respectively.

The remaining students are enrolled in the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technology, College of Engineering and Technology, School of Architecture and Building Sciences and the Faculty of Agriculture.

The students now on their orientation week, have been addressed by various university officers, key among them Prof. Kamau Ngamau, Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor – Academic Affairs who challenged the students to actualize their potential for the benefit of self and entire society.

The climax of the orientation week will be Friday May 11, 2012 when the students are scheduled to be addressed by the Vice Chancellor, Prof Mabel Imbuga.
