The Directorate of Performance Contracting and Appraisal (DiPCA) facilitated a 3-hour sensitization session on Performance Contracting for Internal Audit Department staff on Tuesday 16th June 2015 at the Internal Audit offices, Main Campus.
The session which was attended by 9 members of staff at the Department was aimed at building capacity for staff in the development, implementation, reporting and evaluation of individual performance contracts and reports. The session covered among other topics: the overview of performance contracting, staff performance appraisal, aspects of an individual performance contract, identification of performance indicators, setting of performance targets and units of measurements, assigning of weights, signing, reporting and evaluation of achieved performance against set targets.
The Chief Internal Auditor (CIA) led the team of staff members in thanking DiPCA and the facilitator, Mr. Anderson Mwito, the Administrator DiPCA for apportioning time for building the capacity for his staff members on performance contracting. He further requested that the same effort be replicated in all the departments for optimal adoption of the process in the University. Mr. Mwito on the other hand thanked the CIA and his members of staff for being positive to the PC process and for availing themselves for the sensitization.
DiPCA is open to invitation from departments to offer such sensitization sessions. Individual staff members are also welcome to visit our offices during working hours for assistance with their performance contracting issues.
