Master of Science in Soil and Water Engineering

The Master of Science in Soil and Water Engineering aims at developing skills and capacity in planning, application and management of technology for utilization and preservation of soil and water resources. A strong emphasis is placed on research and practical problem solving in areas of irrigation, drainage and conservation of environmental resources such as soil and water.

Entry Requirements

The common regulations for Master’ degrees in the Faculty shall apply.
Candidates for the Master of Science in Soil and Water Engineering should have a minimum of:

  1. A Second Class Honours (Upper Division) degree in Soil, Water and Environmental Engineering; Agricultural Engineering; Civil Engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, or
  2. A Second Class Honours (Lower Division) degree as in Soil, Water and Environmental Engineering; Agricultural Engineering; Civil Engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology with relevant research experience as evidenced by publications, or
  3. An equivalent degree recognized by the University Senate.
