Professor David M. Theuri has officially handed over the department to Dr. Jotham Akanga after his two terms of excellent service to the department. The ceremony took place at the CODs office at 2.00 PM. Gracing the occasion was Prof. Peter Mwita, Dean School of Mathematical Sciences and other members of the department. The department wishes the outgoing chair prosperity in his future endeavors. The department also warmly welcomes the incumbent chair with high expectations.
Dr. Waweru won the scholarship beating still competition all over Africa to emerge one of the top 20 successful applicants in the whole continent for scholarship awarded by the Centre for Innovation in Teaching and Learning, University of Cape Town.
