JKUAT’s College of Engineering and Technology organizes the International Forum on Geothermal Technology (IFGT). It is an annual event, which is usually conducted at JKUAT main campus. The partners involved in this forum are JICA, GDC, KenGen and KYUSHU University. The forum is intended to be a platform for spearheading the much-needed multi-institutional approach for national capacity building with the ultimate goal of tapping geothermal resources sustainably for national development.

The first time this forum was held was in September 2017 at JKUAT, an event which saw over 60 delegates attending.

Through this post, the organizers would like to invite researchers, students and interested stakeholders to submit abstracts covering the following theme: “Technological Framework and Innovations for Sustainable Development of Geothermal Resources.”

This year’s (2018) event will be held at JKUAT, Main Campus from 6th to 7th November. Over 70 delegates and 16 local and international speakers are expected to grace the forum.

Interested parties are invited to use the template provided and submit their abstracts within reasonable time. Further details are outlined in the brochure and poster.
