Eng. Kariuki Award

This is an initiative by Eng. B.K. Kariuki to motivate students in one of the core courses in the Mechanical Engineering programme. The award honours the best student in the founding unit of Engineering Thermodynamics course where the student receives the course text book. This has been going on for the last five years. The first and second recipients of the award, since its inception, are working with East African Breweries and Kenya Airways, respectively. The other three are in their fifth, fourth and third years of study.

Eng. Kariuki has taught in the Department of Mechanical Engineering for the last 20 years and is currently the Director of the University-Industry Liaison Office.
