Mobile applications developers who have successfully published their Apps on Microsoft store are entitled to 70% of revenue generated from downloads of such applications. This was said by Kunle Awosika, Microsoft Country Manager, Kenya, Friday May 16, when he held talks with Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mabel Imbuga at JKUAT. The winning team of the 2014 Microsoft Kenya Imagine Cup, a student competition which centers on the use of imagination, creativity and technology to help solve some of the world’s toughest problems, has been announced. This year’s winner is Team Africon from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) who developed Life Buddy, a mobile application that seeks to help blood recipients to easily link up with the respective blood donors.
