The department of Food Science and Technology offers short training in food processing, nutrition and hospitality industries at various times of the year.

Farmer groups and individuals are trained;

  • Cottage value addition of food stuff
  • Quality, legistaion and certification
  • Food product labeling
  • Food product marketing

Industry players are trained on areas of need. For example;

  • Quality management systems
  • Food Safety
  • Research and product development
  • Food quality assurance

The department organizes workshops for industries to discuss recent issues in food industry with a view to offering solutions to a dynamic world.
