The department of Construction Management was founded in 2001/2002 academic year at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Kenya. This was after the university realized there was a niche for professionals with a practical and hands on approach to the rapid growing construction industry. The department offers Bachelor of Construction Management and Bachelor of Quantity Surveying, within which period the student are trained virtually in all aspects of construction processes and management from building through services engineering to infrastructure services (roads, water, waste water, ICT etc) and quantifying of construction projects.
The training is done by a team of highly qualified professionals in the field of Architecture, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Property Valuation, Construction and Project Management among others.
Those who graduate from our program get full market placement within their first quarter after graduation and have successfully worked in the following areas:-
