The University of Nairobi in partnership with Kenyatta University, Maseno University, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology, and the University of Washington received a grant titled ‘Health-Professional Education Partnership Initiative (HEPI)’ – Kenya from the United States Government to support health professional training. The program is offering an innovative educational program integrated into the elective term to strengthen research and clinical experiences  of health professional students and  improve linkages between Universities, MOH and affiliated teaching facilities. World Pneumonia Day

The world pneumonia is marked every 12th November. This year, Dr. Justus M Simba, a member of faculty at the department of Child Health and Paediatrics, was part of this year’s events. He participated by being a panelist in a live show at NTV, Kenya on 9th November 2018. It is sad that pneumonia kills 2 children every 1 minute and that majority of those affected are in the low and middle income countries.
