Architectural Student’s Competition on Housing

The aim of the competition is to contribute towards the ongoing discussion on how a liveable and sustainable home can be produced at minimal capital cost to the end user.         The Chairman representing the department as one of the panelists at a recently concluded AAK convention themed: “Dignified Housing for All.” Held at Pride inn Paradise Resort and Spa in Mombasa   The convention had Four Sub-themes: The Land Question; Technology, Innovation and Research; Wholesome Housing; and Housing for All. On 17th October 2017, the Architectural Association of Kenya held a Mentor-ship talk at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, School of Architecture and Building Sciences. This was the 7th of a series of talks organized by the faculty for the students. A number of enticing topics were discussed including a comparison between Seoul, South Korea’s Architecture and that of Kenya.
