Five leading scholars from Nagasaki University, Japan were at JKUAT Monday, January 30, 2012 to hold discussions with JKUAT authorities to chart avenues for possible collaborations between the two institutions. The Japanese visitors were received by Prof. Romanus Odhiambo, acting vice chancellor and singled out Health care technologies, water resource management, and engineering and information technologies as areas their institution wished to explore for collaboration.
The Japanese officials in the itinerary who visited a number of facilities at JKUAT included include Dr. Ishimatsu, Dr. T Itayama and Dr. S. Kiyau of Nagasaki’s School of Engineering while Dr. N. Matsusaka and Dr. M. Oonishi are drawn from the institution’s Medical School.
