September Intake Progress.

To collectively answer the many questions on the September intake. The shortlisting has been done and the process finalized,but we are yet to communicate to you and let you know when you can collect the admission letters.

    Please inform me on the dates that I am required to pick up my admission forms and whether i will be required to go to the university’s main campus or I can be able to check the status of the admission form online.If so, will I receive it in my e-mail account or my JAB account?

      Diploma applicants holding: JKUAT University Diploma with at least a Credit pass in the relevant discipline. Such applicants will be eligible to join the second year of study or Ordinary Diploma from an institution recognized by the Senate having been awarded and examined by the Kenya National examinations Council or any other external examinations body recognized by the University Senate as being of equivalent status, with at least a credit pass in relevant discipline. Such applicants will be eligible to join the course in the second year of study or Higher National Diploma from an institution recognized by the University Senate, having been awarded and examined by the Kenya National Examinations Council, or, any other external examinations body recognized by the University Senate as being of equivalent status, with at least a credit pass in a relevant discipline. Such applicants will be eligible to join the course in the third year of study

    I was admitted to Murang’a University, which is a constituent college of JKUAT, do collect my admission letter from Murang’a or JKUAT.

    Hi,i finished my under graduate degree in Business Administration (Accounting option) and would like to enroll under module II, for a Bsc degree in Electrical Engineering,can you send me the fee structure and advice on how i can pursue it since am also a full time employee of a local audit firm?

      You are eligible to apply if you have attained any of the following qualification:
      (i) Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with at least a mean aggregate of at least grade B– (minus); and mean grade for the total score in the four cluster subjects must be at least B(plain); and the following minimum grades in the individual cluster subjects:
      Alternative A – Mathematics C+(plus), Physics C+(plus), Chemistry C+(plus), and Geography or Biology, or any of Group II C+ (plus), or any Group III C+(plus) or any Group IV C+(plus); Alternative B – Mathematics C+(plus), Physical Sciences b(plain), Biological Sciences C+(plus), and Geography or any of Group IV C+(plus), or equivalent qualification obtained in other examination systems or
      (ii) Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE) or the
      A-level with at least two principal passes in Mathematics and Physics; and at least a total score of nine (9) points, and at least a credit pass in Chemistry at the KCE or its equivalent or
      (iii) Diploma applicants holding: JKUAT University Diploma with at least a Credit pass in the relevant discipline. Such applicants will be eligible to join the second year of study or Ordinary Diploma from an institution recognized by the Senate having been awarded and examined by the Kenya National examinations Council or any other external examinations body recognized by the University Senate as being of equivalent status, with at least a credit pass in relevant discipline. Such applicants will be eligible to join the course in the second year of study or Higher National Diploma from an institution recognized by the University Senate, having been awarded and examined by the Kenya National Examinations Council, or, any other external examinations body recognized by the University Senate as being of equivalent status, with at least a credit pass in a relevant discipline.       (iv) A holder of any other qualifications recognized by the Senate as equivalent to (i), (ii), or (iii) above.

      HOW TO APPLY

      You will be able to obtain application forms from the office of the Principal, College of Engineering and Technology, JKUAT, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of KShs. 1,500/= for Kenyans and US$ 50.00 for foreign students. Your duly filled application form should be returned to the address below before August, 2012 for the programmes commencing in September, 2012.

    I hold KNEC diploma in electrical engineering power option, and I would like to pursue BSC. In Electrical and Electronic Engineering in jkuat when will be 2012/2013 intake be advertised.

    I hold a BSC. Enviromental and Biosystem Engineering from UON and would like to persue a BSC Civil Engineering at JKUAT.Which Year may i be absorbed in putting into mind that we shared most of the units with Civil Engineers?
    Please elaborate to me because my passion is to be a Civil Engineer

      The only advice i would give you is to ask you kindly to visit our main campus in Juja and talk to the Dean of Civil Engineering to see the units you need to do and those yo need to be exempted from and which year you can join.

    For starters we do not offer diplomas, and the HELB gives an approximate loan of 8000 to the government sponsored students
