As part of the University’s effort to re-brand itself in line with the recently reviewed Mission and Vision Statements, JKUAT has launched a new logo .
The new look logo reflected on the varsity website replaces the previous one and incorporates several changes which include the corporate colours, symbols and design. The use of the new logo comes into force after the award of the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology Charter, 2012 by H.E. President Mwai Kibaki on March 1, 2013.
The award of the Charter, which signifies a fresh start in the establishment, management and operations in public and private universities in the country, follows the enactment of the new Universities Act No. 42 of 2012.
The new logo is part of a raft of measures already instituted by the University to enhance its corporate identity among its stakeholders.
JKUAT has over the years distinguished itself as a Centre of Global Excellence in Training, Research and Innovation. It currently hosts the East African hub of Pan African University Institute of Basic Sciences and Technology.
