Two female students from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Mombasa Campus all pursuing different courses, have won a scholarship to represent the University at the SUSI Women’s Leadership Program. Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSIs) for student leaders is an intensive short-term academic program whose purpose is to provide groups of undergraduate student leaders with a deeper understanding of the United States while simultaneously enhancing their leadership skills. In the announcements by Education Cabinet Secretary, Prof. George Magoha on Monday April 15, 2019, JKUAT attracted 5901 students compared to University of Nairobi which came second with 5432 students while Kenyatta University clocked top three with 5289 admissions. The Commission of University Education (CUE) inspected Mombasa Campus on 6th November, 2018. The inspection assessed both physical infrastructure and academic resources. We are happy to note that CUE were satisfied with the establishment and granted a full accreditation status.This is big milestone for the campus that opened its door in 2009 with only 57 students.
