JKUAT Kitale Campus Staff got trained courtesy of Trans Nzoia County Government, Department of Disaster Management. The Campus staff appreciated the concern by the County Government towards equipping them with essential skills in handling fire. The Campus Director promised to continue working with the county government to ensure the county residents benefit from the University through Corporate Social Responsibility programs.
The Campus Director welcomes the new students to the University at Auditorium. The Director urged the new students to instill hardwork in their studies and also observe the University rules and regulation. The Deputy Director challenged the students to study with passion and did encourage early specialization in their respective fields of study.
The University Librarian Dr. Roselyn Mangira presented a trophy to the campus Librarian Mr. Samuel Gthinji as appreciation being the best library overall in satelitte campuses. The University Librarian urged students to utilize online resources available on the university Library for the betterment of their studies.
The postgraduate presentations were done on 8th and 9th August 2017,it was chaired by Prof.Gregory Namusonge and Dr Elizabeth Nambuswa also present was Mr.Robert Wandera. 3 PhD students presented their seminar papers and 8 students presented there proposals. 15 Masters students presented their projects and 29 students presented there proposals. The students appreciated the fact that JKUAT E-resources are more of assistance during research development and coursework.
