It was fireworks at the Kisii County offices where the debaters from around thirteen (13) academic institutions from within the County converged. The Motion of the Debate was: County Govts, Devolution and Its Implementation is a Savior to the Local Communities.

JKUAT student fraternity led by the one and only Mr. Stanley A. Meitekini who is also the Vice Chairman of Jomo Kenyatta University Student Union (JKUSO) leader of Kisii CBD campus, stormed the Debate with points from the Opposing and Proposing sides.

With the eloquence and confidence they dominated the debate from start to end, this in turn earned them a spot at the top. As the swahili saying goes, “Mcheza kwao hutuzwa; na aliye na bidii ya mchwa hupata”. This became a reality when they were awarded the trophy as the best overall among all debaters.

The JKUAT participants managed to scope both cups from the Opposing and Proposing
