The programme is designed to equip students with comprehensive knowledge and skills in the area of public administration and governance in a two tier devolution system. It also provide students with comprehensive knowledge and skills in the area of county governance within a long term national agenda. The program prepares graduates with capacity to facilitate community empowerment through exploitation and effective use of local resources as well as relating with other stake holders.
Persons who are public/civil servants working at both national and county government, and those who have worked in the public service but would like hornet their skills in public administration and governance. Professionals in other areas and wish to diversify their range of skills and knowledge to public administration and county governance and more so high school graduates who would wish to pursue career in public administration and county governance.
MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENT
A candidate wishing to pursue the course must be;
•Holder of KCSE certificate with an aggregate of C+ and a minimum of C in mathematics or English
•Be a holder of KACE certificate with a minimum of two principal passes and subsidiary in general paper and a minimum of credit pass in mathematics and KCE or
•Be a holder of diploma with a credit pass in county governance from JKUAT or any other university recognized by the senate.
