Alumni Office at CHE Exhibition 2009

The Alumni and International Students Office (ALISO) participated in the CHE Exhibition held at the Hotel KUNSTE in Nakuru on March 19^th–21^st, 2009. ALISO was represented in the exhibition by Dr. John M. Wesonga, Director, ALISO and also a member of the JKUAT CHE Exhibition Committee as well as Boniface Mwirigi Kiula, Administrator, ALISO.

The Exhibition presented a great avenue to reach out to JKUAT Alumni as well as build links with alumni associations and alumni offices among other stakeholders in higher education. ALISO managed to obtain contacts of JKUAT alumni whose records have been captured. ALISO also built links with the alumni associations in other Kenyan universities.

The ALISO team also managed to build ties with staff from the Commissions for Higher Education for Uganda and Tanzania towards raising the case for improved relations on international students’ issues as well as students’ exchange programs.

The experience obtained in the CHE Exhibition 2009 serves to add impetus to the operations of ALISO and it is hoped that the new contacts obtained, new relations built, exposure and publicity done as well as information disseminated will help to advance the cause of alumni matters and international students activities in JKUAT.
